Territory Sales Manager (HVAC Industry)

Full-Time | Base Salary + Commission | Travel Required

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Territory Sales Manager to join their growing team and drive sales growth through HVAC distributors within an assigned region. The ideal candidate will excel in building strong relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and consistently exceeding revenue targets.

As a Territory Sales Manager, you will represent our clients brand with integrity, provide consultative solutions to customers, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention. This role requires a strong sales background, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently while contributing to the larger sales team. Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing HVAC distributors within the assigned territory.

• Travel extensively throughout the territory to conduct face-to-face sales calls, product presentations, and relationship-building meetings.

• Consistently meet or exceed sales targets by promoting and selling company products to both new and established customers.

• Create and execute a strategic sales plan to grow market share and increase revenue.

• Maintain accurate records of leads, customer interactions, and sales activities in CRM software.

• Collaborate with the Sales Manager and Marketing team to expand brand visibility through tailored sales and marketing initiatives.

• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to effectively position our products.

• Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and competitor offerings by attending industry events, trainings, and workshops.

• Negotiate pricing and terms with customers to successfully close deals and ensure long-term partnerships.

• Resolve customer inquiries and issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience successfully selling to distribution.

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or equivalent with 10+ years of sales experience in the HVAC industry. Proven track record of success in outside sales selling to distribution.

• Alignment with company culture and values beyond just skills and experience.

• Located in the North Texas or Oklahoma region.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM software.

• Ability to confidently present products and sales proposals to diverse audiences, including decision-makers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Commitment to building long-term relationships, with demonstrated skills in follow-up and post-sale support. Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

• Experience analyzing sales data and market trends to refine strategies and improve performance.

• Active in professional or industry networks, capable of leveraging contacts to generate leads and referrals.

• Comfort with change and unpredictability in the field, including fluctuating schedules, travel challenges, and market shifts.

• Ability to identify customer needs and provide solutions quickly and creatively.

• Proven ability to work autonomously without constant supervision, managing time and priorities effectively. Valid driver’s license required.

Work Environment:

This is a fully remote position with field-based responsibilities. The Territory Sales Manager will operate independently from a home office while traveling regularly throughout the assigned region to meet with customers, conduct sales visits, and attend industry events as needed. Candidates must be comfortable managing their own schedule, maintaining strong communication with internal teams, and working productively in a self-directed environment.
