Please contact Meghan Allen in HR @ 1-888-240-3636 General Summary: Senior level Counter Sales will be responsible for assisting the Branch Manager in the effective and profitable management of the branch by developing relations with customers, assisting with orders/payments, and anything else to maintain customer service! Depending upon the size of the branch, this position may have supervisory responsibilities. Candidates MUST have good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers in a variety of situations, over the phone and in person. Familiar with inventory management and cash management. Can recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications. Maintain proper inventory levels and develop in-house and special item promotions. Help train new/subordinate employees. Answer phones directed to the branch to support ongoing, timely, and efficient customer service. Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors. Demonstrate effective listening, communication, negotiation, and excellent phone etiquette. Ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy and tact. Team player who works productively with a wide range of people. Must know material handling equipment to safely move products weighing more than 70 pounds. Requirements Include: Basic understanding of Heating and Cooling systems (matrix). Knowledge of Electricity. Knowledge of basic math skills. Knowledge of major product lines. Knowledge and effective sales techniques. Valid driver's license, safe driving record; ability to operate manual transmission if applicable. Work Environment: Fast-paced environment where frequent interruptions may occur. Requires frequent bending, climbing, movement, and lifting during physical loading/unloading of trucks and when stocking products. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The work schedule is typically Monday through Friday and some Saturdays (half day). This is a safety sensitive position. Successful completion of pre-employment screens is required and must be 18 years of age to operate a forklift. What is R.E Michel Company? The R.E.
