Empower Learning. Transform Lives. Build Your Career with Purpose.
At Pathways Strategic Teaching Center, part of the J. Arthur Trudeau Memorial Center, we don’t just provide services—we change lives. Since 1988, we’ve led the way in providing cutting-edge, compassionate care for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) through evidence-based practices rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Now, we’re seeking a Consulting Behavior Technician who’s ready to make a lasting impact.
What You'll Do:
As a Consulting Behavior Technician, you’ll be on the front lines of education and treatment—supporting students in classrooms, inclusive public school settings, and beyond. Under the direction of certified Behavior Analysts and classroom teachers, you’ll implement individualized behavioral and educational plans designed to help students thrive.
You’ll:
• Support children with autism and related disorders across various learning environments.
• Carry out behavior and education programs using ABA techniques.
• Assist in implementing IEP goals and collecting meaningful progress data.
• Prepare and organize learning materials, support self-care routines, and help create a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.
• Manage behavioral crises safely using designated strategies and support systems.
• Travel to public schools and community settings to provide consulting support when needed.
Who You Are:
• Certified Teacher Assistant or associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experienced in working with children in educational or ABA settings (minimum 2 years in ABA preferred).
• Ready to learn, get feedback, and grow your leadership potential.
• Organized, proactive, and committed to following clinical guidance with fidelity.
• A confident communicator with solid interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Tech-savvy enough to navigate data systems and digital tools with ease.
• Able to travel across Rhode Island for off-site student support.
• Licensed driver with reliable transportation and insurance.
Why Join Pathways?
• 10-month, full-time schedule with 8 weeks off each summer.
• Paid training, RBT certification support, and partnerships with Salve Regina University for practicum experience.
• Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
• A mission-driven team that believes every child deserves opportunity, dignity, and support.
