Behavioral Health Technician at Garcia House at SummitStone Health Partners summary:

The Behavioral Health Technician at Garcia House provides direct care and support to clients in a residential behavioral health program specializing in co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. This role involves milieu management, brief counseling interventions, facilitating psychoeducation groups, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary clinical team to support client recovery. The position requires a bachelor's degree in health or human services and at least one year of behavioral health experience, with a focus on fostering an inclusive and therapeutic environment.

Behavioral Health Technician at Garcia House

• Salary Range:  $24.04 - $28.85/hour , based on relevant years of experience
• Location: Fort Collins, Colorado at the Garcia House
• Status: Full time, 40 hours per week
• Hours: 
  1. Overnight, Thursday-Saturday 6 pm to 6 am; Sunday 4 pm to 8 pm (some flexibility available for the four-hour shift)
  2. Swing, Wednesday-Saturday 12 pm to 10 pm

Employees working at locations operating 24/7 earn a differential.  Shift differentials are also available for evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.  

Role Overview:

Responsible for providing support and direct care for clients in our residential program. The role will work with and advocate for diverse and often marginalized populations daily to provide interventions, support, and resources, and to ensure that the appropriate services are offered in an inclusive and equitable manner.

Essential Duties: 

• Provide effective milieu management to support a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Conduct   brief counseling interventions to address immediate client needs.
• Facilitate psychoeducation and activity groups as part of the therapeutic programming.
• Participate in treatment planning, contributing clinical insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate extensively with an interdisciplinary team, including Registered Nurses, Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Mental Health Therapists, and Psychologists.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in health/human services required
• At least one year of experience working in behavioral health setting or programs required

Highly Desired:

• Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) in Colorado preferred
• Trauma Informed Care experience preferred
• Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred

Residential (Garcia House)- a specialty co-occurring residential Circle Program providing comprehensive ASAM 3.7 and 3.5 residential treatment to individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.
